Our Story
doc2e-file was founded when our President and CEO, Sherry McManus, identified critical operational risks due to a lack of QA/QC processes and noticed a lack of women owned businesses in the document scanning and records management industry. Standard document conversion services were failing to deliver real quality. At the time (and even now), paper and microfilm made access to business critical documents difficult and time consuming. Driven with a passion for a quality first conversion framework and backed with previous experience in being an expert witness on document scanning and an understanding of how systems work with CDIA (Certified Document Imaging Architect) certification, she launched doc2e-file in 1999.
From day one, we established a universal standard and introduced rigorous QA/QC protocols: review each page to the image scanned and a double blind key data entry for reliable and accurate data and metadata capture. Powered by a trained team running two shifts, we combine technical systems knowledge with taxonomy expertise to support business and operational needs. 27 years later, doc2e-file remains a trusted partner in records management and information governance. As we continue to grow, our core commitment remains unchanged: delivering quality service, driving meaningful client success, and continuously learning and adapting.
